Hi all! Thank you again for the warm support that we are receiving!!

The topic of today are little monsters...

LARP PET: Squig II by FantasyForgeLARP
We have been hit by many requests about the monsters, and we're starting to prepare the definitive evolution of the project.

The monsters are made of soft foam, this material is waterproof and very resistant to abrasion and cuts, can be stepped on or run over by a car without spoiling. Being made of soft foam, the jaws of monsters can be wide open for sticking to various objects, here are a few examples:

If you want to see a video of a monster thrown to the ground and bounce harmlessly you can get it here:

Little Monster Evolution Chamber 2.0

We'll start
sculpting a new monster shape with the same features as the old one and adding many details.

We also want to make sure that the monsters are fully customizable, from colorset to the choice of extra accessories:

  • Some horns set
  • Quills on his back
  • Extra giant teeth
  • Small wings
  • Extra giant claws
  • Fur mohican
  • Piercing
Each monster has its own name, it is assigned at creation time for our choice or at your request. We prefer to assign friendly names like:

Albinus Dumbledore "the mighty"

Little monster preview I by FantasyForgeLARP

Black Fury "the beer terror"

LARP PET: Squig VII by FantasyForgeLARP
Franco "destroyer of worlds"

-
will be delivered within a box that contains a nest, inside the nest you'll find the baby monster with a scroll paper between his teeth, with his name, what he likes to do...
Hello!! my name is Albinus Dumbledore! Thanks for having adopted me!
I like to play between the mushrooms, collect the fragrant flowers, cling on with teeth to things and destroy the world.

each scroll paper ensures 10% discount on the adoption of a new monster.

feel free to add in the comments your thoughts about it, if you think some particular accessory that we omitted please let us know!

Thank you very much everyone, FantasyForge artisans team

Do you guys make these masks yourselves?
Or have you copied the looks somewhere?
Because I'm pretty sure I have seen the exact same masks in venice. ^^
Here for example from your gallery:

And this mask can be found in various shops, which means that your mask isn't custom made or maybe copied.

It's not meant in a bad way, I just wanted to know if you make them yourself or buy them.

He just posted a journal explaining :) I was wondering about that too and had asked the same question, not trying to say he didn't make them but wondering if he worked for whoever distributes and manufactures these to all the retail outlets or if someone else was copying him. There wasn't much info and usually those large companies don't always give public credit to the designers. I used to co-own a Halloween company, where my ex made latex masks and sold them wholesale so I thought this might be a similar situation. He also would sometimes offer nicer deluxe casts from the original molds. I'm glad to know who the original designer is now!

Oh, okay! Well thank you very much! :D
So he doesn't make them after all, or?

Sounds like he indeed does, and either created them specifically for a large distribution to stores or licensed these distributors and allowed them to sell them on a large scale.
